The Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Can I vent for just one post?  I promise it will only be this one time - I don't like being whiny - but in this case I just need to for a short time.
I want to run off to this calm and quiet lake near where we were camping last month!!
Or be in Hawaii watching the sunrise!!!

Yesterday my sweet Hubby shared with me the news that his new job with a small pathology group is going away!!  He's been there four months and just loves the job, but sadly quite out of the blue the doctors who own the company decided to sell it and so shortly Hubby will be out of work.  I will admit to doing a bit of whining to God (okay, more than a bit).  Doesn't He know there is a recession going on?  Doesn't He know there are 8 children to feed in this home?  I hope to come to the place of peace soon but I am confessing to not being there yet.

The day wasn't quite done yet though - after hearing that lovely bit of news I then discovered the plague that had stealthily entered my home - oh the horror!!!  I learned that the itchy scalp that my daughters had been complaining about was NOT the allergy to the new shampoo as I thought (they and I are very prone to skin allergies and itching is just a part of our life).   That itch was from something far worse - you guessed it!!   Oh dear - I can hardly say it - gasp - LICE!!!  There - I said it.  Five kids and myself  have them.  Sigh - whoever heard of a 40 something lady having lice?  I thought it was something for 7 year olds. I feel like crying like a kid though.  Well okay -  since I've confessed already - I have cried like a kid today (and eaten far more Mint Milanos than anyone should!!)

There - I've shared my terrible, no good, very bad day.  I've got to go back to the laundry (and there is GOBS) and to the combing.  And to the comforting of my husband.  Sigh.

I will go back to writing about my canning and other things.  I'm done whining.  I think.

Blessings,
Christine

Christine, I am SO sorry to hear about your bad day...been there! Praying for you and your family as you wrestle with all that you are facing right now. Trust that the Lord has a plan that is better and greater than anything YOUR mind or heart could come up with. It may take some time, but you WILL get to that place of peace, of seeing what the Lord has for you. The Lord WILL provide for your family!! {{HUGS}}

Oh Christine!! I feel for you~

But be of good cheer for the Lord knows your paths, HE has gone ahead and laid the ground work for your sweet family. He only wants to direct you. Trust in HIM, He is working :-)

Who knows maybe the Lord wants you to move to Iowa ;-) hee hee

As for the lice (ugh!) Tea Tree Oil and Coconut Oil work well. Coconut oil works great because it hardens up and kills the lice, whereas regular Olive oil doesn't.

I would come over and help comb out hair if I could. I had a sweet friend help me when I had 4 girls to comb out...all with long hair:-0

hugs sweet friend~ Cinnamon

Oh my! ((((hugs)))) for you across the blogging space! I am so sorry! That is definately something to whine, cry, and eat lots and lots of (in my case peanut m&ms) your candies!

I pray that the Lord will bring you great comfort and joy that passes all understanding. I pray that he will guide you in the path He has in mind for you and give you peace.

Sorry to hear about this situations going on in your household. I probably would be whining too. In fact, I've done some whining myself about another issue in our home but I must walk down this path that the Lord has put before us. However, maybe Louisiana would be a nice place for your family. We enjoy it it here especially in the Baton Rouge area. Jsut a thought!!!

Oh my, I know this has been a hard day. I'm so sorry that your family has to go through this. I'll be praying for you.
Sometimes we just have to voice our frustrations, it does help to get it out. I've done it on my blog too :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

Oh I think you have a right to whine! I will be praying about your husband's job. I know how scary that is~I remember when we were there.

As far as the lice~been there too! Wear that hair up and spray a coating of hairspray on it! We have a bus ministry at our church and when my girls were little they got it. My mother and mother-in-law are hair stylist. They told me about the layer of hair spray~it works. My kids have always been homeschooled so church was our problem. I would check them good after Sunday mornings.

My husband taught 4th grade in the public schools for years and never got it but he has to spray that spiky hair with hairspray to get it to stay down. I think it must have protected him.

I hope you are having a better day~ you will be added to my prayer list until I hear of the new job! I know God has one already planned!

This too~shall pass! I will pray it passes soon!
